Privacy Policy
1. Overview
BloomStep is an app that connects everyday walking with the growth of virtual plants. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use BloomStep. By using the app, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Handle
To provide walking motivation, plant growth, and activity-history features, BloomStep may handle the following information:
- Apple Health data: After you explicitly grant permission, BloomStep reads step count and walking/running distance. The app does not write data to Apple Health.
- In-app progress: This includes energy, coins, plant unlocks and growth, check-ins, activity records, achievements, daily goals, and reminder preferences.
- Purchase records: These are used to verify successful in-app coin purchases. Payments are handled by Apple; BloomStep does not receive your payment-card or payment-account details.
- Notification preferences: If you enable walking reminders, the app stores your reminder setting and time, then schedules local notifications after receiving system permission.
3. How We Use Information
We use this information only to operate and maintain BloomStep's core experience, including to:
- Convert walking activity into energy and show daily, weekly, and historical activity;
- Save plants, coins, achievements, and preferences;
- Verify in-app purchases and credit the corresponding coins;
- Send walking reminders when you choose to enable them.
We do not sell your personal information or use Health data for advertising, marketing, or interest-based advertising.
4. Storage and Sync
App data is stored locally on your device. On supported devices, some in-app progress may sync through your own private Apple iCloud database so it can remain consistent across your devices. Apple Health authorization is device-specific and is not synced through iCloud.
BloomStep uses Apple HealthKit, CloudKit, StoreKit, and local notification services to provide relevant features. Apple's handling of information through those services is also subject to Apple's applicable terms and privacy policies.
5. Your Choices and Controls
- You can change BloomStep's access to Apple Health data at any time in the Health app or Settings on your iPhone.
- You can turn off BloomStep notifications in system settings or disable reminders within the app.
- To request deletion of BloomStep-related in-app data, email sampson1993@zohomail.cn or use the App Support link on the App Store.
Deleting the app may not automatically remove data that has already synced to your personal iCloud account. Use the App Support link above for a deletion request.
6. Children's Privacy
BloomStep is not directed to children below the age at which consent is required in their jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided information without appropriate consent, please email sampson1993@zohomail.cn.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app, legal requirements, or our practices. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of BloomStep after an update means you accept the updated policy.
